Some days I just want to have waffle and this place serves breakfast all day. Awesome!

The Waffle House has been in New West for decades and even though it is no longer owned by the original owner (it has an interesting history, google it), the food is still very homely.

I usually come here early and order the breakfast special, but it does not come with waffle. It is also not that crowded on weekday mornings. Weekends are a different story. Even at 1pm on weekend, it is packed.

The waffle is made to order and you can smell the freshness which has a hint of sweetness to it. The eggs and sausages and bacon are typical. Sourdough toast is also good.

I have yet to try the lunch dishes but it does seem to be quite popular too. Another old school dish is the liver and onions. I do not like liver but it seems to be a favorite with some seniors. Just sharing this info, for those looking for liver and onions dish.

P.S: I don't know why, but every time I see liver and onions, I think of the comic strip Garfield (Irma and the diner). Is it frequently featured in there, besides lasagna?

Come here! As my sister said, you'll get the type of diner waitresses that have been there forever and like to put blue eyeshadow up near their eyebrows and call you "hun". While I didn't actually see any blue eyeshadow when I went, my waitress had false eyelashes and red racer lipstick at 11am on a Tuesday in NEW WESTMINSTER (ie not Vegas), so that's good enough for me.

I ordered the raspberry stuffed waffle on recommendation, and honestly you can't go wrong. So delicious! Add in a side of bacon and you have a great sweet/salty combo. Plus the bacon is thicker and less greasy than some restaurants serve, which was an added bonus. One warning is that they serve those white looking sausages here, so if those aren't for you, just don't order them.

    Best pancakes in Uptown
Portions are huge.  Some of the dishes can be easily shared.  A must visit for Pancake lovers.  Service is bit slow but it worth the wait.

I give the waffles a high rating at this place. They were huge and crispy.... very light but packed with toppings! I would def come back just for the waffles. This place is a local special, lots of people dining when we came for lunch

    Prices are very affordable

They could do a bit of updating, has an old school diner feel to it (typical New West)

The eggs etc, was ok.... stick to the waffles! Well worth it
